This logo is inspired by the Women Power emblem created by Anon Moose, which was released under the Public Domain license in Wikipedia. Anon got his inspiration from the symbol (Clenched Fist inside Venus Symbol) which widely represented feminist movements in Germany in the 1970s.
Anon's logo has been modified and redesigned by Aditya Basu for the Documentary As We Rise keeping in mind that both the sexes stood up on February 14, 2013 against violence against women during the One Billion Rising movement. Aditya also firmly believes, to reduce violence against women participation from both sexes are equally needed.
We are also very happy to announce the launch of our Twitter Account @AsWeRiseOrg

While you slept or ate or chatted with your friend, quietly a global movement happened to stop violence against women, where over a billion people all over the world came together on the same day and raised their voice against violence and danced. Fortunately me and a couple of my friends went there to participate and record it on camera, and as a result we ended up making a film on issues related to sexual violation and abuse faced by women and women empowerment. Surely the documentary is coming out from our hearts :) Its needed also.
Here is the first official Trailer. Releasing the film over net will curtail our chances of entering Film Festivals for any monetary benefit. But still we will release it over net for free as the cause is more important to us than any award or money. So we are looking forward to raise sponsorship for the film that one of you good folks might want to do. Will be very happy to place a Supported By Logo in front of the Documentary when it releases and highlight your profile in our project site. Its a global movement and global issue, so we are expecting global audience. It is indeed a very good chance for you to do something about it, in case if you want to do something about it. Don't forget to share the video and spread word about this documentary to help the cause.
